Keeping Abreast

What?! Me?! Breast cancer?!
But I’m too young to have breast cancer!

Most of us never thought it could happen to us. We are young, healthy, work out regularly, and eat right. But unfortunately, young women like us sometimes do get breast cancer. Come hear what it’s like to be a young woman with breast cancer from women who know first-hand. Hear how we found our cancers. Have your questions answered.

Thrive is accepting requests to perform their signature outreach presentation entitled Keeping Abreast. The program consists of a staged, informal conversation by and about young women and their experiences with breast cancer. This presentation will feature three young women engaged in a dialogue about their unique and sometimes very challenging fight against cancer. The presentation is funny, thought provoking, and informative.

Thrive is looking for volunteers to perform in Keeping Abreast. There are no prerequisites for volunteering. Thrive is looking for women diagnosed at any and all stages with any type of treatment.
